In order to obtain a student visa, you must fulfil the following:
Select a course or stream you wish to study and the university in Australia where the course has to be pursued from.
Fill in the form and submit in the concerned institution’s online portal. The form must be submitted with other documents necessary.
After submission, confirmation of Enrolment (COE) is received which indicates the acceptance of course. It bears Online Code that has to be mentioned in the visa.
If the aspirant is not from an English speaking country he/she must qualify in the English proficiency exams like IELTS, TOEFL, PTE or iBT. The scores of these tests differ from one course to the other.
The Australian immigration authorities also confirm that you will be able to bear your study, tuition and other expenses and hence a deposit of about AUD 20,290 per year is the minimum.
Character and health are also checked to obtain this visa.
Once the above procedure is done the student visa copy with fee receipt, passport copy, COE, evidence of sufficient funds, health and character certificate, English proficiency test certificate must be submitted.
